Gujarat University B.Ed admission 2024 will be done through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), a combined admission portal launched by the state government. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed program at Gujarat University affiliated colleges must register through the GCAS portal at gcas.gujgov.edu.in. The last date for registration is June 03, 2024. Preference filling for colleges on the Gujarat University official website (gujaratuniversity.ac.in) will be done from June 06 to June 13. Gujarat University B.Ed admissions are based on merit followed by Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) counselling. B.Ed admission process for admission at Gujarat University affiliated colleges is as follows:
Step 1: Registration on the GCAS Portal
Candidates seeking admission to B.Ed program at Gujarat University and its affiliated colleges must register online on the GCAS portal at gcas.gujgov.edu.in.
Step 2: Preference filling/Rearrange of your choices
Candidates who have selected college/program/courses of Gujarat University, must log-in with your credential and select GU preference portal and rearrange choices of your preferences of admission based on your merit and category on a prescribed date/period. (Those who are not rearranging choices as per their preferences, their choices will be considered as per data provided by GCAS portal for admission allotment).
Step 3: Provisional Admission Offer
Gujarat University will release provisional admission offer letter to candidates based on marks secured in the qualifying, availability of seats, and choices for colleges and programs filled during registration. Students can download the admission offer letter through GCAS portal. Among the respective Course(Program), students can only download one offer letter for which they’ve applied for.
Step 4: Reporting to the College
After downloading the admission offer letter, students must report to the respective college with all the original documents as well as copies and the Admission Offer Letter of the offered college. Candidates from other than Gujarat State are required to obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from the Gujarat University.
Step 5: Document Verification and Admission
The college will verify all original documents and marksheets of the student. If all documents and mark-sheets match and found correct with filled details and merit rank, the candidate will be offered admission after receiving the payment of admission fees.
Gujarat University B.Ed courses are offered for a duration of 2 years. It is delivered in Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) Pattern.

Ans. No, Gujarat University Department of Education only offers M.Ed and M.Phil courses. The Affiliated colleges under the university offer the course. B.Ed Graduated students receive degrees from Gujarat University.
