To get admission into the BCA course at Gujarat University, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognized board with English in Arts, Science or commerce, depending on the requirement of the particular college with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accounts/ PCM as subjects of primary importance.

Ques: Which College should one choose for pursuing BCA in Ahmedabad?
Ans: The University of Gujarat does not offer the BCA degree course to the students directly, rather the course is available to the students through the affiliated colleges. Many of these affiliated colleges are located in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. Out of the many colleges, Saint Xavier’s college is the best. It is also affiliated to the University of Gujarat.
Ques: How can one secure admission in a BCA degree course in Gujarat University?
Ans: The eligibility for securing admission in any of the colleges affiliated to University of Gujarat for BCA is qualifying the 10+2 examination in Arts, Science or commerce streams, as per the requirement of the specific institute, with 50% aggregate minimum. The admissions for the year 2021 will begin soon. The application procedure is online and is also confined from college to college.
Ques: Do I have to attempt for GUJCET to get admission into BCA at Gujarat University?
Ans: GUJCET exam is an entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) for the students who want to pursue Pharmacy and Engineering courses. If you want to pursue a BCA degree course after your 10+2, then GUJCET is not required.
Ques: When will the admission process for BCA start at Gujarat university?
Ans: The Gujarat university does not directly offer the BCA degree course to the students, rather the colleges affiliated to it do. Every college has a unique website and one can apply to these colleges online, once the applications are released on the admission portal of each website. Students may apply to more than one college and wait for the merit lists to be released. The applications may be released until the end of June or in the month of July. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic there may be an unintended delay in the process.
