Ganpat University PhD Admission 2023 is open now. Admissions to the program is based on Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the University. Ganpat University offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate as well as research level programs (Professional or Non-Professional) in the fields of Engineering, Computer Applications, Pharmacy, Sciences, Commerce and Social Science, Architecture, Law, etc. For admission - Candidates should have qualified a Masters program or any degree that is equivalent to the Master’s program with 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale.

Ganpat University Ph.D. Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for getting admission to the Ph.D.. programs are as follows

Candidates should have qualified a Master’s program or any degree that is equivalent to the Master’s program with 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale.
For candidates belonging to the reserved category the percentage for being eligible is 50%.
Candidates having B.Tech/ B.Sc./B.E. Engineering with 60% marks and evidence of published research along with five years of professional experience can also be eligible for the recommendation by the Doctoral Committee.

Ganpat University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

The admission procedure for Ph.D. programs constitutes filling up the application form followed by a written test which is finally followed by an interview. The detailed steps are given below.

Application Procedure

Candidates need to register at the official website
This is followed by login in and providing all the details that are asked for
Then candidates have to upload a scanned copy of last semester’s undergraduate mark sheet, postgraduate mark sheets, and postgraduate degree certificate.
Candidates also need to upload their reservation certificate and GATE/NET/SLAT/GPAT certificates (if applicable)
After this, they need to submit the application form and the application fee which is INR 3000.

Ganpat University Ph.D. Entrance Examination

The list of the candidates eligible for the entrance examination is published by the University on the official website.
These candidates will then be required to sit for the entrance exam which is of 2 hours.
The question paper consists of two sections: Section A -Research Methodology and Section B- Subject Specific.

Personal Interview

Candidates who have acquired 50% marks in the Entrance exam are qualified for a personal interviews.
For candidates belonging to reserved category the minimum marks required is 45%
Candidates who have qualified any of the Ph.D. fellowship exams are given an additional 5% marks.

I have a few friends who attend Ganpat University (ICT), Gujarat. According to them, the institute offers decent academics. The campus life at the institute is also enjoyable. However, if you are looking for decent placement opportunities, don’t join the institute. The placement cell of the institute isn’t effective in offering good placement offers. If you are looking for decent academics only you can choose the institute.

The hostels in Ganpat University are better than the hostels of Govt. colleges. The rooms are big and well-ventilated. All rooms have a big study table, a small shelf for books and a big cupboard for clothes and other things. Each hostel also has a common drinking point on the ground floor. Every hostel has a separate mess. The university has a complex near all hostels, where you can buy the things that you need in day-to-day life. Most students prefer New Uma hostel. Ganpat University hostel fee is around INR 24,500 (total).

Ganpat University Mehsana offers a decent Megatronics course. As compared to other colleges in Gujarat, it has better labs and infrastructural facilities for the Mechanical and Mechatronics departments. But Ganpat University placement scenario is not that good. There is almost little to no placement for the Mechatronics branch. Although many companies come to the institute for placements, most prefer Mechanical students over Mechatronics students.

Yes, Ganpat University is good for Mechatronics. The coursework covers the basics along with the advanced subjects from Electrical, Computer, Mechanical. Theoretical and practical are well-balanced in the curriculum. The faculties are good. Mechatronics labs are quite advanced and have well-maintained equipments. There is also a highly maintained large workshop. You can use the workshop for your personal project, college project, etc. The only point of concern for the branch is poor placements.
