Goa University MCA admission 2024 is open now. The last date to apply has been extended to January 23, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website @unigoa.ac.in. Admissions to the MCA program are based on Goa University Admission Ranking Test (GU-ART). GU-ART 2024 Round 01 will be held on February 11, 18, 25, March 03, and 10, 2024.

Goa University MCA is a full-time course offered for a duration of 2 years. Candidates having a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 55% Marks(MCA) are eligible to apply. However, candidates seeking admission to the MCA program at Goa University should have Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level. Check Goa University Admission 2024

Goa University MCA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria before applying for admission to Goa University MCA Course. In order to be eligible, a candidate must: 

• Have Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent Degree with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation in minimum percentage for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/PwD shall be applicable as per State Government Rules). 
• Passed Graduation in a Non-Computer Science discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation in minimum percentage for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PwD shall be applicable as per State Government Rules). Such candidates shall be provisionally admitted until successful completion of Bridge Courses. 
• Admission to Semester III (Applicable for Non-Computer Science Graduates): The Non-Computer Science candidates are required to successfully complete the Bridge Course(s) before admission to the third Semester. To be considered successful, the student is required to obtain a minimum of 40% marks separately in the Theory and Laboratory components. Goa University MCA Admission Criteria

Admission is based on scores obtained in MCA Aptitude Test and through bridge courses for non-computer science students. 

Admissions can be made online as well as offline.

The Aptitude Entrance Test shall be conducted as per the procedure given below: 

1. The entrance test shall be based on the syllabus available on the University website (Aptitude Entrance Test Syllabus) which consists of: 

Part 1: Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning 

Part 2: Mathematics 

Part 3: Computer Science 

2. The test shall have 50 multiple choice questions carrying 2 marks each for a correct answer, with a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer. An unanswered question will have 0 marks. 

3. The duration of the Test shall be 90 minutes. 

4. The candidates are required to score a minimum of 30% marks (percentage obtained by the candidate to be rounded up to the next integer) in the Aptitude Entrance Test to qualify for admission to MCA.

6. The tie-breaking in creating the Merit List will be as follows:
7. Section III scores shall be the first level of tie-breaker, followed by Section II. 
8. In case the tie still exists, the University shall decide the order of merit. 

Goa University MCA: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official website, www.unigoa.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘Systems’ tab then on the ‘Admission’ tab. A drop-down of systems tab appears

Step 3: Register by providing valid email id and password

Step 4: Log in with the credentials created

Step 5: Enter all the relevant details such as academic details, address, parent’s information, etc.

Step 6: Scan and upload photograph and signature along with the required documents.

Step 7: Pay the application fee through net banking or debit/ credit card or DD drawn in favour of ‘Goa University’ payable at Panaji, Goa.

Pay the application fee of Rs 400 for the General category and Rs 250 for the SC/ ST category

Step 8: Take a print out of the application form for future record.

• UG mark sheets and passing certificate
• Birth certificate from a competent authority
• Caste certificate
• Bonafide student certificate (if applicable)
• Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college last attended
