Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (IKSVV) is a University of Music, Dance, Fine Arts and Theatre. Established in the year 1956, it is situated in the Khairagarh township of Chhattisgarh.

IKSVV Khairagarh offers courses such as BPA, BFA and B.Voc at the undergraduate level and MA, MFA, M.Phil, Ph.D. and D.Litt in various specializations at the PG and doctoral level.

Applicants seeking admission to any UG or PG course need to appear in the Aptitude Test conducted by the university.
The application to the university can be made in offline mode by paying the application fee via cash or DD.
The eligibility to apply for UG courses is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
The essential qualification to apply for PG courses is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the concerned subject.
For M.Phil admissions, applicants who have secured minimum 55% marks in the concerned subject at PG level will be eligible.
The eligibility to apply for Ph.D. is M. Music/M. Dance/MFA/MA (Music/Dance/Fine Arts/ Hindi/English/ Sanskrit/Theatre/Folk Music/Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology) or any other equivalent qualification with minimum 55% marks.
The final selection shall be based on candidate’s performance in entrance exam and interview.
A scholar will be eligible for the degree of D.Litt. only when she/he holds a Ph.D. degree of minimum five-year duration.
Admission to D.Litt is permissible only if the university approves the subject of research.

IKSVV Khairagarh BPA, BFA and B.Voc Admission 2023

Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya offers BPA, BFA and B.Voc in Design at the UG level. The minimum eligibility to apply for these courses is 10+2 from a recognized board.

IKSVV Khairagarh MA and MFA Admission 2023

At the PG level, the university offers MA in 8 specializations and MFA in 3 specializations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 45% taken together in all years and 50% marks in the concerned subject to be eligible for MA.

For MFA, candidates must have a BFA/ BVA degree in the concerned discipline. Admission to MA and MFA is done on the basis of valid score in Aptitude Test by the university.

Key Points:

IKSV, Khairagarh M.Phil and Ph.D. Admission 2023

Candidates interested in taking up research studies may apply for courses in M.Phil and Ph.D. Both M.Phil and Ph.D. are offered in 6 specializations.

The eligibility to seek admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. remains Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently able category minimum, 50% is required.

Admission to Ph.D. is carried through an Entrance Test conducted at the level of university followed by final selection through an interview. The selection of candidates to M.Phil is based on performance in Aptitude Test conducted by the concerned Department of the University.

Key Points:

UGC/CSIR NET/JRF qualified candidates and SLET/GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or candidates who have passed M. Phil are exempted from entrance test only.
A candidate with minimum seven years of experience in research or teaching with at least 5 research papers published in standard research journals, is permissible to apply for a Ph.D. degree, even if he/she has not secured 55% marks at Master’s degree but with the minimum second division.
Application to Ph.D. can be made only in the faculty from which the student has passed the PG degree or eligible examination.

IKSVV, Khairagarh D.Litt. Admission 2023

At the research level, IKSV also offers a D.Litt. course to scholars who carry research in the subjects that comply with the general nature of the university. Scholars who have acquired a Ph.D degree in the concerned area of research of minimum five years are eligible to apply.

Selection will be based on the subject of research chosen by the candidate and approval of the university. The university may approve/modify the subject/synopsis or propose a new subject.

IKSVV Application Process 2023

The applications are invited in offline mode. Applicants need to follow the below-given steps to apply:

Admission form will be available at the University office after the official announcement of admissions.
Applicants need to pay the application fee of INR 700 by cash or via Demand Draft issued in favor of the “Registrar, I.K.S. Vishwavidyalaya”, payable at Khairagarh.
Duly filled in application form with all attested documents should reach the University Teaching Department.

Note: Applicants must note that they are required to produce original certificates at the time of aptitude test for verification.

Other relaxation criteria for admission is given below:

There shall be no age limit for women candidates.
Relaxation of 3 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for handicapped/differently abled applicants.
