There are no boundaries up till the first 4 semesters. But from the 5th semester onwards, you have to clear certain criteria to be eligible to sit in the exams. However, after doing some research online, I got to know some things about it. Firstly, if you consider following a good curriculum, it is recommended that you opt for CS outside of Chattisgarh. But if you really want to pursue engineering at CSVTU, you should only attend better colleges like BIT, Shankara (Bhilai), and Rungta (Bhilai). The major thing is your performance in academics and not the college.  Your progress depends on your hard work. You can go through internet resources, self-study, some standard books like Complete References, TMH, O’Reilly, and so on. These are useful sources.  Basically, if your college provides good placements, it is good; if you are good at computers and your college does not provide good campus placements, you must struggle and find off-campus employment. And if you are good at computers and attend a college that has good campus placements, you can jump-start your career with little effort. The idea is to get a job as soon as you finish your 7th semester.

RGPV University is better for Engineering. Being a Govt autonomous institute, the course fees are affordable. It offers decent facilities and placements. RGPV placements 2021 had an average CTC of INR 3.5 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 18 LPA. IBM, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. are among some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
