One of my friends recently graduated from CSVTU. According to him if you abide by certain rules your college life will be easier.

  • The most important thing to become an engineer is to choose whether you will go for a job or higher studies, then prepare accordingly.
  • Start preparing for GATE/CAT/XMAT examinations from your second year of engineering and try not to have a backlog in any engineering exams.
  • You need to understand that the marks and university do not make much impact. It is your profile and skills that matter.
  • To attend all the college functions, sports events, etc. This will help in your holistic development.
  • Do study from textbooks as per syllabus, and practice questions.
  • Solve previous year’s university questions. Try doing a proper revision before any exam.
  • Instead of mugging up theories, learn and understand the concept thoroughly.

Overall, try enjoying your college life as this is a major place where you can grow and create your individuality. Along with academics try to be also enthusiastic about extracurriculars as they will be beneficial as well.

There are no boundaries up till the first 4 semesters. But from the 5th semester onwards, you have to clear certain criteria to be eligible to sit in the exams.

From the 1st semester to the 4th semester it can be reached without any previous dependencies, but to go into the 5th semester and further, you need to clear the criteria required.

  • If you have cleared 3 or more papers from the 1st semester till the 4th semester then you will be eligible for the 5th semester.
  • Similarly, for the 6th semester, you have to clear 3 or more papers of the 3rd semester.

The transcript process of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) can be completed easily if you do it patiently. You will require the following documents:

  • Marksheet of all semester
  • Degree or Passing Certificate
  • WES or IQAS Form
  • Aadhar Card or Passport.

It takes approximately 2 weeks to complete the entire Transcript process. The cost of one set of transcripts is INR 800 in CSVTU. You have to visit the university offline for the whole process as there is no online service.

Most importantly, CSVTU does not have a provision of sending the documents and you have to collect them personally. Keep a duplicate copy of the receipt with you for future reference.

Also, note that the campus does not have a printing facility and the distance is quite too much. It is advisable to make arrangements accordingly.

One of my friends studied at CSVTU. According to him, there are various kinds of people who check answer sheets.

It might be a new M.Tech graduate student. An experienced professor, who could have 20–30 years of experience in education. So, definitely, you can predict the difference in marks for the same answer sheet. And, that is the reason why similar answer sheets of students get good marks while others don’t.

  • Sometimes passing the exam depends on the subject, your preparation, etc.
  • Theory questions are easy to get good marks, just keep your answers and diagrams neat. These papers are mostly given to experienced faculty members for checking.
  • The faculties sometimes get less time to check your answer in regular exams. This is due to the abundance of answer sheets, but not enough compensation.

This is different in this case. In backlog exams, they get time to read your answers properly because of less number of sheets to check. That sometimes is checked strictly. Thus checking papers could sometimes be done lightly or sometimes harshly.

This depends on the companies, as they have their own criteria for shortlisting candidates on the basis of their academics.

Most of the companies set criteria around 60% throughout in B.E without any backlog. Many companies will set criteria on your 10th and 12th marks, such as 70% above in 10th and 65% above in 12th. These criteria may change according to the company you are applying for.

Having grace in a subject means that you have cleared the subject and the semester. You will be eligible to sit for most of the companies. This is true for almost every company that chooses to do recruitment from CSVTU. Your grace in subject will not have any impact on placements.

One of my friends studied at CSVTU. According to him, here are the most interesting facts you should know about the college.

If you are expecting 70 marks out of 80 in your final semester, you will be disappointed as you will get average marks like 40-50. This negligence in proper checking reduces the marks, and everybody scores an average mark.

Do not leave any question unanswered, as attempting it might fetch you 2-3 marks. It is said that the theory papers are scored by only checking the length of the answer.

One of my friends studied at CSVTU, she studied engineering, so this answer will be from her perspective. This experience may vary from person to person.

  • If engineering is your choice, it is a reasonable choice to choose CSVTU.
  • They have very moderate fees.
  • The faculty and curriculum are average. Their lack of emphasis on practical exposure is also another factor for their overall performance.
  • The student and teacher interaction varies from college to college.
  • If your college’s overall performance is good enough, then reputed companies are bound to come.
  • The university promotes varieties of extracurricular activities.

So, if you want a good college, you have to check its overall performance, faculty, and student crowd. Choose after analyzing every factor, as this will help you decipher a particular college’s performance.

So, it is entirely up to you to decide what purpose your college should serve. A good college provides you with a quality education, while a bad one may not.

The first thing you need to know regarding your question is that the performance of the colleges depends on how much hard work you put in to learn certain things. However, after doing some research online, I got to know some things about it.

  • Firstly, if you consider following a good curriculum, it is recommended that you opt for CS outside of Chattisgarh.
  • But if you really want to pursue engineering at CSVTU, you should only attend better colleges like BIT, Shankara (Bhilai), and Rungta (Bhilai).
  • The major thing is your performance in academics and not the college.
  • Your progress depends on your hard work.
  • You can go through internet resources, self-study, some standard books like Complete References, TMH, O’Reilly, and so on. These are useful sources.

Basically, if your college provides good placements, it is good; if you are good at computers and your college does not provide good campus placements, you must struggle and find off-campus employment.

And if you are good at computers and attend a college that has good campus placements, you can jump-start your career with little effort. The idea is to get a job as soon as you finish your 7th semester.

RGPV University is better for Engineering. Being a Govt autonomous institute, the course fees are affordable. It offers decent facilities and placements. RGPV placements 2021 had an average CTC of INR 3.5 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 18 LPA. IBM, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. are among some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
