Patna University (PU) M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. course offered at Patna University (PU) shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Must have a Bachelor’ degree in the relevant subject preferably a B.A. or B. Sc. degree with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in a B.A. or B.Sc. Hons sub/Major sub/Core course.
For Admission to M.Sc. Botany: B.Sc. /B.Tech in Bio-tech / Environmental Science / Microbiology / Life Sc./ Bio-Chemistry
For Admission to M.Sc. Physics: B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc. Hons. In Maths, Chemistry, Zoology, Statistics, Computer Science with Physics as a mandatory subject.

Patna University (PU) M.Sc. Admission Criteria

Admission to all the M.Sc. programs offered at Patna University (PU) is granted on the basis of marks in Bachelor’s degree. The varsity creates a merit list on the basis of qualifying examination scores and candidates get admission seats based on their merit-rank.

Pay the application fee of INR 670 through online means such as credit card, debit card, UPI Wallet, Net-Banking.

Ans. Patna University (PU) provides admission to 50 students in its M.Sc. Physics course. Students shall have minimum eligibility in the allied subject.

You can score well even with 15-20 days of preparation. Here are some tips on how you can prepare for the examination. Focus mainly on your language subjects, Poultry, History, Geography, Sociology, Reasoning, and GK. Make sure that your concepts are clear. Read any good books on GK like Lucent.
