One of my friends appeared for the entrance test for BA at Patna University. According to him, questions asked in the entrance test are quite easy. You can score well even with 15-20 days of preparation. Here are some tips on how you can prepare for the examination. Patna University is considered among the best in Bihar and Jharkhand area. The university offers decent academics and completes the courses in time. In Patna University you have to calculate the percentage from total marks you obtained in your honours.  If you have four honours papers of 100 marks each and you have got 320 out of 400. Your percentage will be 80%. In subsidiary papers you only need to pass as they are not included while calculating the percentage.

Every college has their own cut offs presented by them. The cut off marks tend to decrease with consecutive lists. If you are a General category student 55-65 marks out of 100 would be enough to get you through. The reserved categories like OBC, SC or ST get a relaxation of 5-10%. Patna University has better colleges compared to Patilputra University. Most colleges associated to Patilputra University don’t take regular classes. Often sessions are late at Patilputra University as well. At Patna University classes are regular.  However, PPU colleges like A N College and College of Commerce are good and can be compared to Panta University colleges. 

Patna University conducts an entrance examination for admission. If you want to get admission to any college under Patna University, you will have to fill out the college form and appear on the entrance test.  After the result is declared, the university will publish the cutoff list. Check whether you are qualifying the cutoff according to your caste section. After that, you can go ahead with your admission procedure. So, try to perform well and secure a good score on the entrance test. 

There are not many differences between the two universities. Patna Women’s College has a good reputation as well as a good infrastructure. The answer is very subjective as the answer will vary from person to person. College under Patna University offers science.
