Magadh University offers admission to the UG, PG, and Research level courses. At UG level regular courses like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Lib.Sc, B.Voc courses are offered along with professional courses such as B.Ed, B.P.Ed, LLB are also provided. To be eligible for these courses students must have 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level from a recognized board. Selection will be made on the basis of secured merit in the last qualifying examinations.

Courses like M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Lib.Sc are offered at PG domain with some professional courses such as MBA, M.Ed, MCA, etc. Students should pass graduation with 50% marks in aggregate in relevant subjects from a recognized university to be eligible for a PG program. Admission will be granted on the basis of secured merit in the qualifying examination except for the M.Ed course, students need to appear in the entrance exam conducted by Magadh University itself. For an MBA course, students need to clear the CAT cut-off. After clearing the entrance examination, eligible students will be called for the counselling process.

At the research level, the university has PhD courses to offer in multiple specializations. Magadh University UG Selection Criteria

Admissions will be granted on the basis of secured merit in the last qualified examination. A merit list will be released by the university. Remarks:

For the course I applied to, the eligibility requirement was a minimum of 50% marks in 12th standard. As someone who applied for this course, I found it helpful to know that the annual fees and exam fees were less for reservation category students. When it comes to the application process, I would like to share that I had not taken any entrance exam in addition to submitting my 12th-grade marks. I found the application form online and the application dates were clearly mentioned on the website. Regarding reservation benefits, as a student who does not avail of these benefits, I can say that they were really helpful in making the course more accessible and affordable for other people I knew I appreciate that the admission process took these benefits into consideration and I hope that this continues to be the case in the future.

Remarks:

The college premises is very good. The infrastructure is quite good enough. The playground is also available for college students as well as for outsiders also. There is a separate building for conducting exams. There is one police station also inside the college premises. And there is one bank also available which is quite helpful for the students in making payments during the admission process.

Patna University is comparably better than Magadh University. It maintains a fixed schedule. The classes and examinations are on time. Your course will be completed within the scheduled time. The results and degrees are delivered as per the timeline. The academics and teaching methodology used at Patna University are better than Magadh University. It also has a locational benefit. Patna has many good coaching institutes for banking, SSC, etc.
