Sri Venkateswara University (commonly referred to as S. V. University or SVU) was established in 1954, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. At the undergraduate level, the university offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) focusing on the area of technology.The programme comprises various specializations in the different subjects. The programme takes four years to fulfill the duration period.

The university offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Integrated M.Tech, both of the programmes comprise multiple specializations. The M.Tech programme holds a duration period of four years, whereas the duration of Integrated M.Tech is six years.

Besides the regular courses, the university provides multiple UG and PG programmes for the candidates seeking distance education. A number of courses focusing in the area of Arts, Science, Commerce, Social work, Public relation, Computer Application etc, are offered by the university.
Duration of all of the UG level programmes is three years, except B.L.I.Sc. The university provides the B.L.I.Sc programme for one year. The university has a sprawling campus spread over an area of 1000 acres, surrounded by picturesque hills and greenery. SVU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in a wide range of disciplines including arts, science, engineering, technology, management, law, and education. The university has 54 departments, which include both traditional as well as emerging disciplines, catering to the academic needs of more than 5000 students. epcet is the entrance exam to become eligible for admission in this college with 40 marks in epcet and all the procedures regarding admissions are cleary given on the government epcet site and the process is simple hence no improvements are required.
