2 YearsSri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) is a deemed-to-be University founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The university is based on the gurukul system of ancient India wherein education is provided free from kindergarten to post-graduation. The Sri Sathya Sai University in Prashanthi Nilayam was the only college in India in the past to have received an "A++" rating by the NAAC.
SSSIHL provides free education to students in all programmes of study. This includes waiver of all fees- tuition, examinations, laboratory, library, sports and medical. The university hosts over 1300 undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programme students across four campuses. The University offers Master of Technology programme in Computer Science, and Optoelectronics and Communication. The Programme offers the students the theoretical foundations of Computer Science as well as the practical knowledge regarding computer systems. Students can choose to specialize in different areas of computer science, such as Artificial intelligence, Software Systems and Hardware. Moreover, graduates with training in optoelectronics and related communication technologies will be useful in industries and R&D organizations involved in the areas of Optoelectronics, telecommunication & networks.
The Institute invites applications for admission to the M.Tech. Programme for the academic year. The admission will be based on an Entrance Test followed by an Interview. The applications can be accessed either online or in person or by post and must be submitted by the last date.

Age (For all courses): You should preferably be below 27 years of age as of 31st May.
For Computer Science:-
Your selection will be based on an Entrance Test comprising of a Written Test, a Practical Programming Skills Test, and a Technical Viva-Voce. This will be followed by an Interview, should you qualify in the previous stages.
The Entrance Test will consist of two sets of question papers. Part A will have 80 objective type questions, 60 from Computer Science and 20 questions from Mathematics, with 80 marks and Part B will have 8 short answer type questions, 4 each from Computer Science and Mathematics, for 40 marks. The paper will for a total duration of 120 marks and will carry a maximum of 120 marks. Negative marks are awarded for every incorrect answer.
If you qualify in the Written Test, you shall have to appear for the Practical Programming Skills Test carrying 80 Marks for 2 and a half hours. The aim would be to test your proficiency in designing, coding and debugging abilities in C language- the coding language will be in Linux platform.
Subject to qualification in first two components, you will have to appear for a Technical Viva-Voce carrying 30 Marks- to test your comprehension of basics and analytical abilities
Final Interview: An Interview will be conducted if you qualify in the Practical and Viva- voce for final selection.

For Optoelectronics and Communication:
Your selection will be based on an Entrance Test comprising of a Written Test, and a Technical Viva-Voce. This will be followed by an Interview, should you qualify in the previous stages.
The Written Test will be for a 100 marks. It will be for a duration of 3 hours. It will comprise of short answer and problem solving type questions.
This will be followed by a Technical Viva voce test.
Final Interview: An Interview will be conducted if you qualify in the Practical and Viva- voce for final selection.

For Online Application:
You should log on to the Institute’s website.
You should then click on the link for online application, and you will be guided step-by-step on how to fill in the form.
You must have an email id to log-in. You should then fill the Form with the required personal and educational details.
You should then submit the Application Form. Once completed, you will be able to view the filled-in application form in PDF format and save it on your computer.
You should take a print out of the Application Form.
For Paper Application (By Hand):
You must send a written request comprising of a Requisition Letter indicating the Programme you would like to apply for and a Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi. You must mention your name and complete postal address at the back of the Demand Draft.
You should then fill the Application Form with the required personal and education details. You must also affix a recent passport size photograph.

You should then staple the filled application form with all supporting materials. Then, seal them in an A4-sized envelope.
If you have chosen to pay online, you should print and attach a copy of the electronic receipt. Otherwise, send an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.100/- per application. The Bank draft should be drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.
