Government College Men was established in 1952. The College offers general education and strives to expand the Horizons of the minds of the students by qualitative teaching, learning and through career oriented programmes.

The college library has 2 computers with internet facility and all the books in the library are computerized according to Soul (Software on University Libraries) Software under INFLIBNET programme. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is also available to the students and faculty.
