According to NALSAR placements 2020 highlights, the median CTC for BA LLB students was INR 16.50 LPA. The median CTC for LLM students was INR 8.50 LPA. During NLSIU Bangalore placements 2020, the participating firms offered salary packages in the range of INR 15 LPA to INR 18 LPA.
So, as an entry level associate, you will be earning in the range of INR 15-17 LPA.
NALSAR offers various scholarships to students. The institute offers both need and merit-based scholarships. They will consider your family income, GPA, etc for your eligibility. There are also state and central university scholarships on offer for deserving students.

Usually, six of India’s major corporate law firms offer around 1,00,000 to 1,15,000 as a monthly remuneration at the entry level. Apart from that, there is generally a yearly bonus of around 1 to 2 Lacs.
An average entry-level associate usually earns around 14 Lakhs Per Annum which is a good amount nonetheless. Apart from that, there are a variety of other institutes that pay somewhat in the same range, if not equal.
Only recently, there are multiple mid-tier firms that are generating comparable packages. However, foreign law firms comparably pay a higher amount. The packages sometimes range around INR 40,00,000 per annum. In simple words, this is the basic remuneration they generate for fresh graduates, which gets higher with your experience.
The opportunities are open equally for different law schools, let alone NLSIU and NALSAR.
In your first three years at NALSAR, you will share a room with one other person. These rooms aren't as huge as you'd like, but they're also not too inconvenient. When you reach the fourth year, you will be assigned a single room. These rooms aren't particularly large, either. If you're lucky, like me, you might be able to get a room with a view of Shamirpet lake.
The boys' hostel block has become overcrowded as a result of the increased admission. The girls' block is a little busier than normal, but it hasn't hit capacity yet. They've also lately built a massive new hostel that offers single rooms to its residents, so that problem appears to be resolved.
A volleyball court, a common room, and big balconies are available in each dormitory. There are two gyms in each hostel block. Two beauty salons are located in the girls' hostel block. Each block also has its own coffee shop/eatery, which is open until 1 a.m. A Hostel Committee, made up of students from all batches, is in charge of all hostel-related matters.
The fee structure which has been implemented at DS NLU is the same for everyone except for the students who are admitted into the institution based on various quotas like NRIs, Vacancies, Upgradation, and the other ones which are applicable at the institution.
My friend is currently pursuing a course at DS NLU so I have a brief idea about the fee structure there. The marks that you scored in your sessional or semester examinations of your respective course would not have any impact on the fees chargeable by the institute. The fee depends on the quota through which you get admission to the institution.
If you belong to the general category and are domicile of India, then the fee which will be charged from you would be the same just like everyone else from your category for a specific course. I believe that a similar structure is followed throughout all the institutions that come under NLU.
In general, banks do provide loans to the students who have gotten admission in NALSAR. In addition to that, the Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the students belonging to the SC/ST category and the packages they get are less than INR 2 lakh. The state governments offer scholarships to the students for pursuing higher studies.
NALSAR has scholarships, loans, and fee concessions. Apart from these, the institute also facilitates access to student loans from banks.
The university is also in liaison with the Centre and the State to make sure that all the government schemes for financial aid are made available to the students.
NALSAR is one of the premier institutions in the country when it comes to law courses. You will get a lot of opportunities after completing BA LLB (Hons).
You can continue for further studies in law, or go into a research field. If you want a job then look for opportunities in MNCs, law firms, public sectors, banks. You can prepare for IAS or Judicial exams.
If you set your goals high and are willing to achieve everything that you desire, you will come across a lot of opportunities.
The hostel policy at NALSAR University is like other hostels of renowned universities. Students of the same gender are allowed in the hostel. The opposite genders are refrained from entering the other hostel’s premises unless they possess an endorsement or approval of the authorities.
Failure to maintain this important rule is punishable by the authorities and in some worst cases might even lead to the expulsion of that very student.
The disciplinary committee on campus is beyond one’s ability to convince in case of a mishap. It's better to be careful than taking a chance.
Except for mobile phones and laptops, nothing is allowed. The authority will just overlook certain gadgets like blow dryers, irons, hot plates, etc during the inspection which is not less than a raid. Gadgets like air coolers, air conditioners, refrigerators which consume a lot of electricity are not allowed.
However, to be frank you have nothing to fear. During any inspection, you will find the library crowded as all the students lock their rooms and sit there.
NLSIU, NALSAR has a reputation all over the country and is among the top-ranked colleges.
NLSIU, NALSAR will definitely offer you numerous opportunities. But you will also need to work hard to secure good placement and opportunities.
