Both JNTUH and JNTU Kakinda are reputed. Both have their advantages. But if we compare the two based on infrastructural facilities, faculty, and campus placement then JNTUH is a bit better than JNTUK. However, the environment is better than that of JNTUH. Here is a brief comparison of both the institutes.

Parameters  JNTUH  JNTUK
Average CTC 9.5 LPA 2.5 LPA
Highest CTC  17 LPA  4 LPA
Major recruiters  Amazon, TCS, Mathworks, etc.  Infosys, DXC Technologies, Cognizant, etc.

JNTUH will also offer better opportunities if you are considering pursuing studies abroad. But if you want a job after graduation, then either of these two institutes offers decent opportunities.

Many students find it difficult to pass JNTUK M1 exam, in B.Tech first year. Here are some preparation tips that can help score better.

  • M1 covers a lot of Trigonometric and integrational formulas and sums. Try to learn the basics of the formulas. You have covered these formulas in intermediate and 10th. Even if you learn the basics of very easy formulas, it will help you grasp the concept and eventually score better.
  • Learn the procedure of sums in every chapter. During the examination, don't leave an entire problem, try to solve it up to the point you can. If your steps are right, you may get step marks.

Practice daily. Solving previous year's question papers can help a lot in your preparation too.

Earlier JNTUK didn't have any kind of service to send transcripts on the students behalf to any college or organization. But now things have changed and now it is possible to send transcripts by applying it on their official website.

Here are the steps to apply for a transcript.

  • First of all, you will have to get attested all the transcripts photocopies by your college principal and then send all these transcript copies to the Registrar/Controller of Exams JNTUK.
  • You will have to include some other important documents such as xerox of your Aadhar card, academic records request form which will be provided by WES by filling section A and get it signed by your principal at the end of section B, and a formal letter requesting your Registrar/Controller of Exams of JNTUK to give you WES address and reference number.
  • Then pay the required amount for the transcripts by visiting the website of the JNTUH examination and by clicking on the highlighted link. Complete the payment as per the given instructions. Do the payment for postal charges for WES. Attach the payment receipt too.
  • Upon receiving your mail, the university will send your scanned copies to WES and they will also send the attested transcripts to WES by post.

This is the complete process by which the transcript of a student is being sent from JNTUK to WES.

JNTUK is a very popular university in our country and there are many advantages and disadvantages of this university.

Advantages:

  • JNTUK is considered the best college after JNTUH and JNTUA and almost all the private colleges in the 8 districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh are affiliated to JNTUK.
  • JNTUK is the second-best college in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh and AU is considered as the top college of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The food available there is very healthy and tasty and you will find no such problems regarding food. The east and west Godavari districts are food surplus districts and Kakinada is also well known for a sweet called Kaja.
  • The placement opportunities available there are also very good and you will find many top IT companies visiting the campus for interviews of students from both Bachelors and Masters programs. The average CTC offered at the institute is 3 LPA, while the highest offered last year was 26 LPA.

Disadvantages:

  • The staff of this university is not cooperative, especially the non-teaching staff who work at the office, certificate, and exam departments.
  • The exam paper validation of this university is very poor. The professors don't do any evaluation or give any concentration while checking the papers.
  • There are many differences and mistakes in the marks memo certificates of most of the students. There are many mistakes in the student's name, subject name, marks, etc. You will have to start the correction procedure and meet all the requirements to get a new one. And the time period required to get the new certificate will take around 3-6 months.

Overall, JNTUK is an average institute but not a great one.

Both JNTUK and AU are very good institutes but among these two, Andhra University will be a better choice in all aspects.

  • Andhra University is one of the most popular and reputed universities of our country and offers very good facilities to the students. It is equipped with all the equipment in laboratories and offers a wide range of courses to study for the students.
  • Many seminars are also being conducted regularly inside the campus to enhance the knowledge of the students.
  • The faculty of this university is very talented and knowledgeable in their subjects and is excellent with their teaching and interactive skills with the students. The placements are promising too as a lot of top companies visit the campus for interviews.

The recent placement highlights for Andhra University are as follows.

Average CTC  3.5 - 4 lakhs
Highest CTC  6 lakhs
Major recruiters  Airtel, ITC, Asian Paints, Andhra Bank

JNTUK is not very good like Andhra University in terms of faculty and placements. There is also a lot of politics involved in the allotment of seats to the reserved category students. Hence, Andhra University will be a very good option over JNTUK in terms of academics, faculty, and placements and you should definitely choose this university.

The institutions, JNTUK, AU, and SVU are the best colleges in this league. But you should keep in mind that colleges are a stepping stone in your career. It is your talent that would take you to higher levels in your career.

  • As for campus selection, the campus does not matter as long as it has an updated library, sports and gym facilities, clubs and extracurricular activities, and most importantly a clean and healthy environment.
  • These universities provide core placements. The companies that visit the campuses are esteemed and highly reckoned among the best.
  • Your journey to the library and possession of helpful books would help you in developing enhanced skills and knowledge.
  • Your unquenchable thirst for acing in everything you take up would be enough to help you build your career.

Yes, it is absolutely true. I got to know about this from some of my friends who graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

  • Your knowledge of the subject is merely a bonus as you are required to write your papers with neat and clean handwriting.
  • Your scores depend not only on the matter of your answer but your handwriting as well, it is given huge importance by the lecturers.
  • Filling all 32 pages with gibberish would not give you higher scores and might turn into a disadvantage on your part.
  • You are provided marks based on the clearance and understanding of concepts that are reflected in your paper.
  • It would be better if you improve your answers in your own words. Do not only write the concept but explain with examples as well.
  • Adding its merits and demerits would certainly give your answer an edge.

Prepare and write your answers confidently and neatly rather than blaming the evaluation process later. Breaking your answer into paragraphs and points is preferred the most.

In order to gain good marks in the subjects that involve problem-solving concepts, you should have a clear understanding of the concepts.

  • You must answer every question (you can leave choice-based questions).
  • Presentation skills should be proper. Good handwriting and neat diagrams in your answers are mandatory.
  • According to some students, your score could also depend on the number of pages you fill.
  • No matter the question in your paper, it is the length of your answer that would help you in acing among other classmates of yours.
  • You must strictly follow what is being taught in class. Write down notes and revise them before exams.
  • Scoring in lab tests is the easiest therefore practice correctly for your internal and external examinations.
  • Do not miss your lab exams. You would be able to score well in your viva with a bit of revision and practice
  • The final semester exams are held without any gaps therefore practice writing at a fast pace.

Do not leave your preparations for the last minute as it would become really burdensome during exam week. Go through the previous questions of your branch in order to gain an insight into the kind of questions asked during the exams. Follow these steps and you would certainly score good marks.

Yes, you can apply for OD at JNTUK without original memos. However, you will need the soft copies of your provisional certificate and original marks memo in a specific size. You will also need a scanned copy of your passport size photograph along with your scanned signature.

There is another way to get your OD directly but it will cost you a little more than the online procedure. You can go to the university directly with the required documents and collect your OD.
