A postgraduate degree is designed to equip our graduates with transferable skills that are highly valued in the workplace. College research-led ethos ensures that students explore the frontiers of scientific knowledge, and the intensive practical components provide rigorous training in cutting edge technical skills that are used in the modern biosciences (scientific or clinical research career in the fields of nanomedicine and advanced therapeutics) while working in areas of world-leading expertise within the School.
The nanomedicine course appeals to all sectors of life sciences. The college has students who have left the course and gone onto industry, academia (PhDs), and professional vocations. Most do stay on in academia; some do a Ph.D. in a more specific field related to nanomedicine, others go on to Graduate Entry Medicine. Some have gone onto industry, with a range of biopharmaceutical to biotechnology companies in the fields of drug/technology testing and development.
