All first-year international students are guaranteed a place in university accommodation. While most of the candidates are offered a place in its 2 student villages namely, Ffriddoedd and St Mary’s, the university, however also has a postgraduate hall located on College Road and called Neuadd Garth. The available housing facilities on the campus are en suite and come along with residence gym and Campus Life membership. 

  • Ffriddoedd Village-
    • This has around 2,000 rooms and is mostly en-suite.
    • It has one standard hall, Neuadd Reichel, comprising 120 rooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms.
    • It’s about a 10 minutes walk from the main university building.
    • This location has 9 en-suite residence halls with shared kitchens for 8 students and is relatively costlier than the other group of 5 en-suite residence halls with shared kitchens for 8 students. This village has shops, laundrettes, and common rooms, Bar Uno café bars, and Canolfan Brailsford sports center.
  • St Mary’s Village-
    • This has around 600 rooms, offering a range of accommodation including en-suite, budget rooms, 5 studio apartments, and townhouses.
    • This village has one standard hall called the Bryn Eithin, which has shared bathrooms and kitchens.
    • This village has around 300 en-suite bedrooms and 30 studios across 5 different residence halls known as Cemlyn, Cybi, Penmon, Ffordd Tudno En-suite Rooms and Studios, and St Mary’s Quad.

  • Proof of higher secondary education i.e. Standard XII with an average 50% or any equivalent diploma

How, When, and Where to Apply

Application Portal: Aspiring candidates can apply for admission at Bangor University by filling the online application form or through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Service). 

Deadline: University accepts admissions throughout the year but students are advised to apply by the end of June for September intake or the end of October for January intake.

What after you get admission?

After being considered for admission, students will receive Confirmation of Acceptance of Study (CAS) by paying a deposit of 2,000 GBP. Candidates will need CAS to make a visa application to be able to study in the UK.

Work While you Study

International students generally have restrictions on the number of hours they can work and the type of work they can perform based on the kind of visa you hold.
