Students voted Bangor University’s accommodation to place in the top-5 in the UK in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2019. University has been ranked among the top 100 for students’ satisfaction in the UK. Students also say that Bangor University is located at one of the best and stunning locations in the UK, having access to a beautiful natural environment with spectacular features such as mountains, lakes and rivers. The institute offers hundreds of courses across its 14 academic departments in more than 40 subject areas. The university comprises 3 academic colleges i.e., College of Arts, Humanities and Business; College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering: and College of Human Sciences, and some 50 specialist research centers, enabling the provision of courses spanning the Arts, Humanities, and Sciences.
The institute is situated between the Snowdonia mountains and the Menai Strait and it is relatively a small city and therefore easy to settle into. The location, the scenery, the surrounding area are amongst one the reasons why students prefer opting for the institute.
City-centre provides a wide range of supermarkets, food shops, high street chains, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Bangor is perfectly placed for sports enthusiasts. It has the Pontio center which is a social hub and home to the Students’ Union and includes a cinema, theatre, lecture theatres, exhibition spaces, etc.

Ranked Top 5 in the UK for student accommodation by a survey conducted by WhatUni, 2019, the organization offers residence options to its aspirants both on campus or nearby. All first-year international students are guaranteed a place in university accommodation. While most of the candidates are offered a place in its 2 student villages namely, Ffriddoedd and St Mary’s, the university, however also has a postgraduate hall located on College Road and called Neuadd Garth. The available housing facilities on the campus are en suite and come along with residence gym and Campus Life membership.

Application Portal: Aspiring candidates can apply for admission at Bangor University by filling the online application form or through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Service).
Deadline: University accepts admissions throughout the year but students are advised to apply by the end of June for September intake or the end of October for January intake.

International students generally have restrictions on the number of hours they can work and the type of work they can perform based on the kind of visa you hold.
