MSc program is an extension of the MSc Materials Engineering and includes a second year allowing students to undertake either an industry placement or an industry-focused project with an industrial partner.
The program includes metallurgy and materials selection, modern methods for engineering design and analysis, polymers, and modern business management issues and techniques.
Students’ studies will be nourished by an international community of over 500 postgraduate students and 120 research staff at the College of Engineering.
Further study support comes in the form of 24-hour access to the on-site library, advanced laboratories, a year-round program of guest lectures, and dedicated postgraduate workrooms.

Academic Eligibility:

The typical entry requirement is a degree in any background, normally a 2:1 with a minimum of 55% overall.
Applicants should have an AAB-ABB grade with subject Maths
Applicants who are non-native English speakers must achieve 6.5 overall in IELTS or equivalent
Students should have a minimum of grade C in English and Maths.

Indian Eligibility:

Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).

Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
The application needs to be made through the UK Embassy or UK High Commission at their place of permanent residence. One must apply for a visa 3 months prior to the commencement of the course.
