Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

The entry requirements for the MSc Civil Engineering is a first or second class honours degree in Civil Engineering, or a similar relevant engineering or science discipline.
Applicants will also need to have an overall mark of at least 55%, however performance in key modules will also be considered.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Applicants must have a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, or a similar relevant engineering or science discipline with 55% from recognised institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
The application needs to be made through the UK Embassy or UK High Commission at their place of permanent residence. One must apply for a visa 3 months prior to the commencement of the course.

An applicant needs to pay the visa application fee before applying for a student visa and submit the following documents:

Proof of Financial support
Passport
Evidence of English Language Proficiency, if required.
