The MSc in Advanced Computer Science gives students the depth of skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field, whether through further study, research, or a rewarding career in computer science.
The brand new £32.5m Computational Foundry lies at the heart of this course. Sophisticated teaching and research equipment include a Vision and Biometric Lab, a Maker Lab, a Theory Lab, a Cyber Security/Networking Lab, a User Lab, and a Visualisation Suite.
Ideal if students are Computer Science graduates or if they have relevant experience from a different first degree, this MSc provides a fresh level of detail with specialist modules.
Students will choose modules from a diverse range of computer science subjects. These include artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies and operation systems, big data, and network security.
Broad learning in year one is followed by a substantial project module in year two, putting students in a strong position when it comes to seeking employment.

Academic Eligibility:

The typical entry requirement is a degree in any background, normally a 2:2 with a minimum of 55% overall.
Applicants should have an AAB-ABB grade with subject Maths
Applicants who are non-native English speakers must achieve 6.5 overall in IELTS or equivalent
Students should have a minimum of grade C in English and Maths.

Indian Eligibility:

Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).

Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
