The MSc by Research in Medical Engineering provides graduates with the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding, and expertise in their chosen field of research, beyond the level of a taught master’s degree, but without the requirement to complete as much novel research as a doctoral student.
Within the College of Engineering world-leading research is conducted in a number of areas, including diagnostic sensors and computational modeling of physiological systems.
Through years of experience, engineers are very well equipped to approach medicine from an entirely different perspective, which can lift medical care to the next level.

Academic Eligibility:

The typical entry requirement is a degree in any background, normally a 2:1 with a minimum of 55% overall.
Applicants should have an AAB-ABB grade with subject chemistry.
Applicants who are non-native English speakers must achieve 7.0 overall in IELTS or equivalent
Students should have a minimum of grade C in English and Maths.

Indian Eligibility:

Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).

Applicants from non-European countries who seek an international degree at Swansea University require a student visa. Once the student is accepted by the university, he /she should apply for a ‘short-term study visa (for a duration of fewer than 6 months)’ or ‘Tier-4 (General) student visa’.
The application needs to be made through the UK Embassy or UK High Commission at their place of permanent residence. One must apply for a visa 3 months prior to the commencement of the course.
