This degree gives students a strong grounding in the design and analysis of Civil Engineering structures. Students will develop complex problem-solving skills, gain the ability to sketch and model engineering solutions and become comfortable preparing technical reports.
As students progress, their developing analytical abilities will combine with hands-on experience of state-of-the-art equipment, establishing skills that are vital to securing employment in the civil engineering industry.
This course offers students the opportunity to spend a YEAR IN INDUSTRY (UCAS H204), in the UK or overseas, giving them valuable work experience as well as a salary that is currently over £15,000 on average. Support and guidance are provided to help secure their placement.
The program also offers the option to spend a YEAR ABROAD (UCAS H207) at a partner university which enriches the degree, giving students a valuable cultural experience that can broaden their horizons when seeking employment.

Academic Eligibility:

The typical entry requirement is a degree in any background, normally a 2:2 with a minimum of 55% overall.
Applicants should have an AAB-ABB grade with subject Maths
Applicants who are non-native English speakers must achieve 6.5 overall in IELTS or equivalent
Students should have a minimum of grade C in English and Maths.

Indian Eligibility:

Candidates are expected to have achieved 70% Year XII including Standard XII in English - 70% or above (or equivalent).
