The MLitt in Logic and Metaphysics is a one year taught postgraduate programme run by theÊStÊAndrews and Stirling Graduate Programme in Philosophy (SASP), taught by staff from both the University of StÊAndrews and the University of Stirling. It focuses on topics within metaphysics and logic; withÊclasses covering logic and advanced logic, formal approaches to natural languages and contemporary and historical debates in metaphysics.

The Stirling and StÊAndrews Graduate Programme was ranked the third best Philosophy programme in the UK in the latestÊPhilosophical Gourmet Report.
Students have a number of optional modules with a focus on metaphysics or logic to choose from.
Supervisors at both StÊAndrews and Stirling are available to oversee the MLitt dissertation.

There are no application deadlines for postgraduate study; applications will be considered throughout the year. International applicants requiring a student visa are advised to apply at least eight weeks in advance of the start date.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent.
Applicants without the formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete their bachelors degree from a recognized university.
Students must complete their graduation with 50% from Tier 1 College/ University (namely University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi) or graduating with 55% from a Tier 2 College/University.
