Students will gain an understanding of the human brain and its disorders from the molecular to systems-level that will reflect the interdisciplinary breadth of cutting-edge research in brain sciences conducted at UCL. Students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of core personal and professional skills that underpin excellence in research.
Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.
The course consists of taught modules worth 60 credits. 45 credits are from compulsory modules and in addition, students are required to take one optional module worth15 credits. Students are also required to complete a Research Project worth120 Credits.
Upon successful completion of 180 credits, students will be awarded an MRes in Brain Sciences.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must hold a minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor of Science degree from a UK university in an appropriate scientific discipline (e.g. neuroscience, cognitive science, biological and biomedical science, medicine, anatomy, physiology, psychology, computer science) or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
Preference will be given to applicants who have both core knowledge of direct relevance to the MRes program and relevant expertise and skills in empirical research.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Students Eligibility:

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall CGPA of 7.75/10, 6.25/8.0, 5.75/7.0, 4.25/6.0, 3.3/4.0, or 60% where a GPA scale is not used.
The overall mark required is dependent on the subject and the ranking of the institution at which the degree has been taken.

English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.

Visa nationals and non-visa nationals whose program of study lasts for more than six months must not attempt to travel to the UK without a valid student visa.
Student can apply for a student visa to study in the UK if he/she is 16 or over.
The student should have offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor and should have enough money to support him/her and pay for his/her course - the amount will vary depending on your circumstances.
Should speak, read, write and understand English and have consent from their parents if they‘re 16 or 17 - need evidence of this when applying.
