The course comprises tutorials, lectures and six months of intensive laboratory work before undertaking a five-month independent research project. You will study how preparative biological chemistry relates to the pharmaceutical industry and drug discovery programmes, including the principals of combinatorial synthesis.

As well as developing your core knowledge of cancer research, you will learn how to critically analyse research data and research publications, and how to communicate scientific concepts and processes.
