• MSc in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Leeds is offered on-campus as a one-year program, wherein the students learn practical skills in areas of applied computing, working as application developers, system designers, and evaluators. 
  • The first half of the year will see students study core modules which will lay the foundations of the programme by giving them an understanding of the key topics of algorithms and systems programming.
  • From there, students will have the chance to tailor their studies to suit their own preferences. They will choose from a wide range of optional modules on diverse topics such as cloud computing, image analysis, machine learning, semantic technologies and developing mobile apps.
  • During the second half of the year. over the summer months, students will also work on their research projects. This gives them the chance to work as an integral part of one of our active research groups, focusing on a specialist topic in computer science and selecting the appropriate research methods.
