Architectural Engineering degrees first began at Leeds in the 1970s when we were the first UK university to offer such a degree course.
The current Architectural Engineering courses are truly interdisciplinary, designed to produce engineers who can design buildings by integrating the principles and practice of architecture, building physics and structural engineering.
Students will work on a series of studio-based building design projects, many of which will be undertaken in our studio spaces. Not only will students put into practice what they have learned in lectures, laboratory classes and tutorials, but they will also build scale physical models and develop graphical presentation and computer modelling skills using industry standard software.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honors in computing or a related discipline.
Students also require a strong background in programming, systems development, data structures, and algorithms.

Following are the required Documents:

Resume/CV: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and volunteer experience.
Transcripts: Students must submit a copy of their degree certificate and transcript, or a partial transcript if they are still studying.
Statement of marks - The marks statement provided by the education board.
Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
Personal Statement - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying in a minimum of 250 words.
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.

Students with a valid Student Visa are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during term time, and full time during vacation times, including the time between the end of their course and the end of the student visa (up to a maximum of four months).
Main work visa options for non-EU students in the UK:
- Tier-2 (General) Visa options (for full time and part-time work)
- Tier 5 (Temporary Worker-Government Authorized Exchange) visa (for work experience or professional training)- It allows students to work in the UK for up to 12 or 24 months depending on the scheme applied for.
- Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa (for MBA and other UK graduates who have been identified by Higher Education Institutes in the UK after graduation to establish at least one business in the UK).
