• This History of Art course allows students to explore the ways in which art has been produced and received by different communities across time and in different places.
  • Students will learn about the history of art and think critically about its development and effects, examining the social history of art in a challenging and thought-provoking way.
  • Students will also consider some of the theories and approaches, from aesthetics to anthropology, that can help us to interpret works of art as well as understand different contexts of its display.
