• Neuroscience is the study of the brain and the nerves that make up the nervous system. Our brain controls what we do, how we think, and who we are. Our brain is what makes us human and understanding how it works is the frontier of current biology.
  • Throughout this course, students will develop specialist knowledge, while building on foundations of biomedical science with areas such as synaptic plasticity, neurodegenerative diseases (eg Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s), psychopharmacology, and toxicology. This course will enable them to pursue a career as a neuroscientist or within the scientific and medical industry.
