Careers

The majority of study combinations of this course leads to a fully-accredited degree, allowing you to train for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Many of our accounting graduates go on to qualify as Chartered Accountants through one of the major accounting bodies (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA).

Accounting graduates find jobs as trainee accountants, auditors and tax trainees. Employers include Santander, Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, HBOS, KPMG and Morgan Stanley.

Our economics graduates find work in accountancy and business services, retail and investment banking, insurance, government and industry. Job titles include economist, auditor, management accountant, business analyst, investment analyst, risk consultant and commercial manager.
