The BSc Hons in Medicine at StÊAndrews provides students with a thorough knowledge of the foundations of medical science, whilst developing the ethical understanding and decision making skills required by ÔTomorrowÕs DoctorsÕ. The course provides an excellent scientific foundation for clinical practice and provides early, relevant clinical experience in a highly supportive educational environment.

Course pathways

The A100 degree programme offers three different course pathways for UK and EU students depending on where you intend to undertake your final three years of training after graduating from the University of StÊAndrews:

  • Scotland route (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow)
  • England route (Manchester, London)
  • No Preference route.

Applicants who are overseas for fee purposes should note that they will progress to Manchester Medical School for the final 3 years of the programme; there are no places for overseas students from StÊAndrews who are on the A100 at any of our other Partner Medical Schools.
