MSc English in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh is offered as a 1-year program.

It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis only.
There is a strong practical element to the program, helping you develop your creative skills through workshops, presenting your work for the peer discussion, and hearing from guest writers and other professionals on the practicalities of life as a writer.
Students will also sharpen their critical skills through seminars exploring the particulars of their chosen form and through option courses in literature, helping you move from theoretical considerations to practical applications.
The program culminates with the publication of ‘From Arthur’s Seat’, an anthology of student work.
The MSc program consists of 40 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must have a UK 2:1 honors degree or its international equivalent from a recognized institution.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Students should have achieved is 60% or more in their undergraduate degree.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
