• You will have the opportunity to develop your own interests and engage contemporary questions with religious and theological texts and traditions.
• At Chester you have an opportunity to undertake a 5 to 8 week placement in Spain or Costa Rica at the end of Year 2 (Level 5). You will also have the opportunity to complete an academic year inÊ Spain or Latin America. This allows you to split your experience abroad between two countries and to spend time in both Spain and another Spanish speaking country.Ê
• In your first year you will have the opportunity to study a further language from scratch.

• A degree in Spanish develops an impressive range of skills including strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to work autonomously and in groups, analytical and critical discernment and the resilience and confidence developed during placements abroad. Students go on to work in a number of professions, including teaching, banking and financial business, marketing and advertising, publishing, the civil service, health and social care, counselling, customer service, church and youth work, and ordained ministry.
