- In your first year as a Sport Development and Coaching student at the University of Chester, you will gain an understanding of sport development, sports coaching and behaviour change. In year two, you will develop your coaching practice. You will learn how to create sporting interventions that will change behaviour. You will start to shape your career path by choosing an aspect of the sports industry and undertake a 5-week work placement that matches your personal interests and ambitions. - Graduates have secured employment in a wide range of sport related areas, including: sport development, charitable organisations; commercial and professional sport; teaching and lecturing; and sports administration/management.
- Destinations of some of our recent graduates include: Academy Coach at Manchester City FC and Club Development Officer at Hockey Wales.
- Students have also undertaken postgraduate studies (PGCE, MSc, MBA. e.g. MSc Sport Management, MSc Strength and Conditioning).
