University of Derby Halls of Residence

University of Derby offers on campus accommodation in its 9 residential halls across the Derby campus and Chesterfield Campus. Housing facilities may vary according to the requirements and budget of the students. A wide array of rooms including Standard room, premium rooms, en suite, apartment style, studio style rooms are available on campus. Some of the accommodation facilities provided in the residential halls are WiFi, kitchen, TV lounge, diner, Laundrette, etc.

Chesterfield Accommodation

• Accommodation halls at Chesterfield campus is home to the students pursuing nursing courses at University of Derby.
• Accommodation flats comprising four bedrooms, shared kitchen and bathroom are located at the Chesterfield Royal hospital.
• The nursing students are required to pay £273 per month as housing rent.

Agard Court

Situated near the derby city centre, Agard Court comprises modern flats shared among four to six people. With 236 en suite rooms and 8 en suite (adapted) rooms, Agard court residential hall is ideal for students studying at One Friar Gate Square. All the well equipped kitchens at the hall have adjoining social space with TV and sofas.

Cathedral Court

Cathedral court, located within the heart of Derby offers modern and high quality accommodation facilities to the students at University of Derby. The cathedral court flats provide shared accommodation facilities to four to eleven students, with larger flats offering additional communal spaces within the halls. The halls have well equipped kitchens with seating spaces.

Darley Bank

Located near the university of derby campuses One Flair Gate Square, Britannia Mill and Markeaton Street, the Darley bank halls offer a variety of en suite rooms and studio type accommodation options to the students. Students residing in derley bank accommodation halls are offered with greater independence than other halls of residence.

En suite rooms are based in flats that offer shared housing facilities to four or seven people with shared kitchen and social space. There are three types of en suite rooms available for housing the students including the 12 msq bronze en suites, 13-14 msq silver en suites, and 15-16 msq gold en suites.

The self contained studios are ideal for couples. The shared studios are available in three sizes- 12 msq bronze studios, 13-14 msq silver studios and 20-22 msq gold studios.

Flamsteed Court

Flamsteed Court is available only for housing postgraduate students. The flats offer shared accommodation between two students. Located near Kedleston Road site, the hall is close to the University of Derby main library, student union and sports centre.

Nunnery Court

The newly refurbished nunnery court has great socialising outdoors. All the flats comprise of five premium standard rooms.

University of Derby Accommodation: How to apply?

Housing applications at University of Derby open at October end every year. However, incoming students can apply from January. Students who have accepted an unconditional or conditional admission offer from Derby can apply within 48 hours.

The students are advised to follow the below mentioned process while applying for accommodation at University of Derby:

• Register and login to Student Living University of Derby portal sign your UCAS or student number.
• After assessing the halls based on their pricing and room types and making your preferences, read and accept the booking terms and conditions.
• If you’re accepting the terms and conditions, you can’t cancel your booking within 14 days of completing the application.
• Pay £50 application fees along with your accommodation application.
• The offer of Accommodation will be mailed to you on your registered email address. You must accept the offer within 10 working days to avoid cancellation
