- The faculties and support staff are very supportive and they hear to all queries of the students
- Hostels are clean and facilities in hostels are good
- The whole academic block is ac centralised and computer center is 24*7 open for students
Dislikes
- First thing is that the campus is still under construction so we don't have so much things to explore.
- Far away from city so we have have to travel atleast 10 km to city to get stuff although you can get basic stuff at near market.
- College is near factory so sometimes there is pollution due to factories
Remarks :
I got around 20 k rank in jee mains and somehow this was the college in which I landed , the reason for choosing it over other college was it's placements even at the time of recession the placements at iiit-kota are good as it is providing 12.71 lpa avg PKG when other colleges are not even getting companies. I might have got better college than this with that rank but the main reason behind choosing it was it's mentor institute, iit kota gets good help from its mentor institute mnit jaipur , earlier it was running in mnit jaipur campus bot from year 2023 it is running in iiitkota campus Ranpur . We get benifits as the companies that visit mnit jaipur also visit IIIT kota . The alumni network of IIIT kota is also good as compared to other iits of ppp mode as those were opened after 2016 and 2017 . There are many alumini meets also held here and there are many coding clubs which organize contests which help in our growth .
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of college is good as compared to iits and nits as they somehow teach some industry irrelevant stuff in 1st and 2nd sem like physics and chemistry . But here also you will get some subjects of humanities and will think that why this is being taught . But this is how the system works . Coming to core cse curriculum it is completely industry relevant , web dev is taught to you in workshop and DSA is taught to you in 2nd sem , other core cse topics like DBMS comes from 3rd sem onwards .
Placement Experience :
The placements of our college is good as compared to other new iiits . The average package of this year for cse branch is 12.71 lpa and median is 12.21 lpa . The training and placement cell of IIIT kota is very good as it provides multiple opportunities for students to grab good offers from companies during placement season From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement The companies visited this year are meesho which provided 21.5 lpa , Flipkart 32 lpa , Samsung 17 lpa , jio 14 lpa , Infosys 11lpa The highest package offered in cse was 65 lpa and lowest was 4lpa offered by TCS 79.8 percent students were placed After getting the degree for first few years I will do job to collect some money and after that I will open my own business .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The semester wise fee here at iiit-kota is 111000 that sums up to be 222000 for one year for general category and for SC/ST it is 90000 per semester that is 180000 per year , this is only institute fee and for hostel you have to additionally pay 76000 For all categories . The college doesn't provide any kind of scholarship from itself but you can opt for state and central government scholarships.the semester fees for college includes all the fees like student devlopment fee, internet charges, library fees etc. and as of now fees is not increasing.
Campus Life :
The overall experience at the college is good there are many clubs in the college such as cultural clubs , coding clubs , cinematics clubs , environment clubs and literacy clubs . There still not such annual cultural fest in the college but there are few small functions in the college on festivals and there a technical fest in college called as technosummit held by techno society of college There are wide range of books in the library in the college . You will get all the books of your semester in the library , thee library also consists of novels and daily English newspapers in both Hindi and English . There is intra IIIT competition in our college in which students of IIIT kota participate and good players are selected and made to practice and then are sent to inter IIIT where all the students if different iiits of india participate and compete with eachother.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is good at iit kota as the hostels are new The students in the first year are provided 4 sharing rooms as there is some issue of accomodations at iiit-kota hostel . From second year onwards rooms are provided on the basis of cgpa the students with good cgpa are provided 1 seater rooms below it are provided 2 seater rooms and below it are provided 4 seater rooms The food in the mess is similar to other colleges means it is simple we have a mess comitee and menu is decided by them means we have different foods for different days . The food is vibrant and breakfast generally contains food from south india The registration for hostel is done at the time of admission in hostel office the hostel and mess fee for whole year is 76000 which becomes appx 6k and it suitable and affordable price because you won't get a pg under 10 k here in kota
Faculty :
Faculties in college are good and supportive. There are around 3 to 4 classes for every subject in a week according to the credits of the subjects there are labs also for every subject each lab consists of 1 credits and we have workshop also which is of 2 credits . We have two exams in each sem , midsem of 30 marks and end sem of 40 marks , and facilities give 30 internal marks on the basis of performance in the class like quizs and attendance according to the total marks relative grades are given these grades consists of credit points the summation of product of credit points and total credits of subject divided by total credit points of semester makes your cgpa . Also there is evaluation of workshop also.

curriculum is good you will get many new things to learn many software to learn but at your own the teachers here will not teach you that beacause they also do not know that things exams held twice a semester one is end term and one is mid term

Our collage has good placement in these 5 years major recruiters are amazon flipcart meeso games craft infosyis tata wipro adobe hero samsung and other companies regularly our training and placement cell is too active. Total 90 percent student placed last year.

The the colleges average package is 3 to 4 lakh . the comany come in my college are in great no. but they only want skill people so majority of student is not placed.20% student are get placed.i prepare for govt. job. after degree.

Placement Experience :
The students become eligible from the end of third year or wholly from the beginning of fourth year or more. Companies visited are mainly tech based such as tata, Mahindra, asus, intel, Siemens,drdo, and many more. Highest package yet is 44lpa and that was an off campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is mechanical engineering.its kind of a hard subject but if studied properly it's actually good. The terminologies and the mechanism behind things is way too grand but necessary too. Overall it's a good branch but includes alot of physics and maths and practical learning and knowledge.
