I had applied to Loreto, Bhawanipur college, but I had to face rejection in Loreto. Bhawanipur I didn't want to go myself, the environment is not good. Rani Birla comparative is better and is affordable. The admission process is also very easy as same for the other colleges as instructed by Calcutta University
The college is very affordable, and transport is easy. But the timings of the college is very ling which fine if the classes are continuous. Few professors need improvement they themselves don't know what they are teaching
Admission fees is around 6000-7000, which includes the fees for semester 1, for semester 2 it's 4000-5000. Examination fees semester 1 and 2 were 350 and 450 respectively. Fees structure for all the courses are almost the same except for Mass communication, it's around 10,000
Campus life is full not much to do, we are invuted to other colleges for competitions, also to other programms. Socila life not much too, but it's fine. We are usually having inter department competitions not very kuch exciting though.
The faculty is good, except for a few professors who usually avoid their classes. Marking scheme is strictly followed as per the university's instructions. Faculty for English and Journalism is very good, they are very helpful. Sociology faculty is not good professors do not take classes
The univercity is under UGC so it's exam pattern is not so easy but if a student read there study materials continuosly and there are many notes and suggestions available in online if the students follow those things
This curriculum is enriched with literature works by British and American writers which is really enjoyable to read and the Teachers make it more exciting. Teachers are really good at explaining every single point in the syllabus. In the history of literature part they give us notes about each and every write a and there works so that we are familiar with most of the part of our syllabus. They does not teach only for the exams but they make sure that we learn everything with depth. We have a semester exams in every 6 month but sometimes it becomes 7 or 5. But the teachers are really supportive so that we don't panic in our exams.
My course is very limited with in the walls of theory and facts however it is preparing for my future endeavours and tranning my level of education and experience Through which I can be the best of myself
There are various aspects for this college and there are collectives that was groups like cresendo, flames and other groups as well. And college should also improve the faculty and staff members. And timings also for the college classes.
The course curriculum at Bhairab Ganguly College is designed to cover a broad range of subjects, providing students with a solid foundation in their chosen fields. In terms of comprehensiveness, the curriculum generally includes essential topics and core concepts, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education. The inclusion of both theoretical and practical components helps in building a robust knowledge base. However, the relevance of the curriculum to current industry standards and trends can sometimes be lacking. In rapidly evolving fields, the curriculum may not always keep pace with the latest advancements and emerging technologies. This gap can leave students underprepared for the practical demands of the job market. Updating the curriculum more frequently to include contemporary developments and skills that are in high demand could greatly enhance its relevance.
