I've applied in Delhi University North campus but didn't get admission there because of high cut off, also I had applied in Lovely Professional University (LPU) and got admission there but that was for the backup only. The marks mattered the most in terms on getting a good college as i scored only 335/800 and required minimum marks for north campus was 600/800 atleast. The exam i gave for the admission was CUET and it was a MCQ exam.
My course is very easy and i was interesting in sports and politics so i choosed BA Program (political science+physical education) Most teachers are very cooperative and helpful in every aspect. The teaching method should be improved as in by using smart boards and more pictures to explain things rather than just words. The exams are scheduled in December and May around 2:30pm to 5:30pm and the difficulty level is (easy) .
Decathlon - 20k stipend Bevzilla - 17k stipend Knovatic Graphics - 12k stipend These are the companies I've seen giving jobs in our college and are very famous in their own fields. The other companies are also there to provide stipend and normal stipend is around 10k a month for 3 months.
After 6th semester, the students are eligible for the placements. Decathlon, HCL and Bevzilla are the the mostly known companies visited our college. Average package is around 1.5 lakh and maximum is around 3.5 lakh. The percentage of students getting packages are around 75% I plan do fo B.ped and M.ped after this.
1st year - 8880/- 2nd year - 10100/- It might increase in the 3rd year of my degree. I'm from general category. You can take your fees back through some quotas as well, colleges usually help, specially mine.
The annual fest is called MAZE and it usually happens in the month of April. The library is decent only, it's not very much maintained but has a large collection of books. Class rooms are very average, normal benches and black board is available. The sports facilities are excellent and provide good support to the students including the Token of 50/- rupees to eat from canteen to every sports student daily. There's a club called team Sahayak which helps us in exam time supplying us study material and other stuff to study.
The faculty is quite decent as if you require help, they won't deny but at the time if they feel it's not that important to you, they won't even give you their attention. The sports faculties are very good, they provide proper solution to every problem at once. There are 2 semesters and each contains 7 exams. The marking is very lenient as you get marks for every question you attempt.
There are placement cell in our college that is really active but that also depends from course to course not all The courses have placements. But recently internship/research work/community outreach options have been given to us instead of SEC.
Placement it's all depends upon u how much u r doing hardwork. We know that not everyone get placements there will be some students who will get placements so count yourself in those students u will definitely get placements and try doing different activities during your college like internships etc . Definitely u will get placements
As my course is SOCIOLOGY HONOURS this course needs a lot of field work which is not properly conducted by the college and i think that should be changed but still because of the professors it becomes easy to make the most out of the disciplines that you are choosing.
Studying Philosophy at Kamala Nehru College is great for learning, but it doesn't lead to a job right after graduation. It's perfect for those who want to study further or pursue a career they're passionate about. Scope for improvement: - Help students explore career options - Provide internships for practical experience - Connect students with professionals in related fields
There are a large amount of course you can choose from in the school of open learning. I personally chose English honours as I was interested in the literature and mythological stories. The curriculum doesn't give you any exposure as there are classes only in Sundays so all the weekend you're on your own. I would suggest to improve the availability of the teachers and fix the teacher to students ratio
