- Teaching Quality is really good, and the concepts are cleared till depth.
- The exams conducted makes sure your concepts are clear.
- The interface through which you can connect through students make sure that there is no doubt left, even teacher solves the doubt there.
- Often live classes are arranged so there is no doubt left and helpful before the exam.
Dislikes
- It is boring watching lectures but if you want a IIT degree then you have to be focused.
Remarks :
I thought of applying in IIT G but it was not quite popular so I thought IIT Madras was better. I didnt get any rejection, I chose it but one matter is that IIT Madras gives a chance to complete your course in IIT Madras itself physically. The admission process is online, You need to give a qualifier exam in order to get into the course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
THe thing that impressed me is that from class 10th I was interested in AI and Data Science and getting a degree in BS from a college like IIT Madras attracted me towards it. There are online facilities for students to study even books and other materials are provide in the forum. Teachers can be more active so that students get a better interaction chance. The frequency of exams are once every month and difficulty varies from 40% easy, 40% medium and 20% difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
I specifically dont know the names of the companies that come to hire for placement and internship but during the placement season, the c=forms are out to participate. Projects are not compulsory but student tend to make theirown projects for placements.
Placement Experience :
From 2nd year onwards you become eligible for placements. I didnt visit any company as I just got into second year. Highest package hits like 50LPA and average package is like 12LPA My plan is to start my own startup in Data Science after getting my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Okay, so there are 4 levels to complete this course, first is to complete the foundation it costs you around INR 4000 persubject and there are 8 subjects so the total is 32000 INR, then there is Diploma level where there are two diplomas 1. Diploma in Programming (8 sujects and total cost INR 62000) 2. Diploma in Data Science (8 subjects and total cost INR 62000) After completing the two diplomas you have Bsc degree and the BS degree.
Campus Life :
THere are fests where there is a option to either participate online or even present there, you need to look for your own stays, there are houses where students are put in randomly and soetimes according to the places they belong to.
Faculty :
Since it is a online course so one teacher can teach many students but parallely there are doubt solving teachers who solves your doubt, Proffesor Prashanth LA is the one I like who taught me MLF course and clear understanding. more teachers like Proffesor Arun Rajkumar is there. The one faculty I didnt like is Dibu John Philip cuz he made the subject TDS more difficult for me to learn. Exams comprise of questions from easy to difficult.

Placement Experience :
The year-wise fees you paid (or will be paying). Mention the Tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category (like Management, SC, ST). Also, share the fees of your batchmates for categories other than yours. Names and amounts of scholarships or financial aid that are available for students. Like merit cum need.

Placements are good, as the degree is completely online, but it is nowhere mentioned in the certificate, IIT helps one to get good package in Data Science fields, maybe the college does not provide placemnts, but students have gotten in big companies through off-campus placements

From 3rd year onwards students can be part of placement assistance. Moreover, throughout four years you receive offers for internships. As it is a new degree so no official data is avaliable on name of companies and no. of offers. However, though sources it is shared that avergae package range around 15- 20 lakhs per annum. I plan to do my masters in data science from some American University.

After completing one diploma you can apply for internships and after your 3rd year, you can apply for the placement while going on with your last year. You need atleast 8+ cgpa to get the placement. The package is also quite well
