I applied to PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET). I got confirmed admissions from SKCET and Hindusthan Institute of Technology (HITECH). **Choosing HITECH:** HITECH’s strong placement cell, modern infrastructure, and proximity to home influenced my choice. The campus offered better lab facilities and a more active placement cell compared to SKCET, which aligned with my career goals. **Rejections:** I didn't secure admissions at PSG and CIT due to not meeting their higher cutoff marks in the entrance exams. My TNEA rank wasn't competitive enough for these top-tier institutions. **Admission Process at HITECH:** HITECH’s admission process requires a minimum of 50% in 12th-grade science subjects. Placement Experience :
The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year in the month of October. For chemical engineering, Asian paints, PETRONAS are some companies I remember. Last year 12companies visited and 20offers were made. Highest package: 12LPA and Average package: 6LPA. Students with no standing arrears are mandatory for placements and some companies want candidates with no history of arrears. Percentage of students getting placed is around 15%. I currently do not have any plans
