I had applied to many private colleges like KIIT, VIT, BITS and many more and also some government exams like JEE mains and advanced but couldn't get over it and had to choose a private colleges. Reason behind choosing LPU over others is the less fees than other private colleges and the corresponding placement rates. I was also impressed with the cultural Diversity and the fun students do along with studying. So one can get admission through the entrance test of the university called LPU Nest where one can get the scholarships for reduction of the actual fee based on the performance.
Definitely, the course curriculum is enough for the students and very well prepared by the university. However, the faculties are not able to transfer the same to the students efficiently. They work on the faculties to train them to make students understand what is being delivered. The frequency and timings of the exams are very pathetic and disturbing. They need to look at these and find some solution so that students don't get much stress.
There are many companies that provide internship opportunities including Google, Microsoft, Meta and many more with handsome stipends but that depends on students' abilities and qualifications also. One can get to some wonderful projects to work on at a very nice position.
From 7th semester one can apply for placements and get into the process soon , there are more than 1000 companies came across the world to hire from the college. Overall placement is not that high but almost good pakages are offered to the students.
As I am a student of CSE of batch 2023-27 , my fees can differ from the students who got admission later or earlier,so the above detail is for batch of yr 2023, per semester fee is Rs. 1,20,000 which makes total of Rs. 9,60,000 for the complete course but applying through the entrance test called LPU Nest you can get scholarship upto 45%. On my entrance result, I got 25% scholarship per semester which makes it as Rs. 90,000 per semester for me . Also the scholarships varies according to the opted courses like if you choose courses like civil engineering or architecture then scholarships may be high.
Extracurricular activities can help students to get 100% scholarship along with free mess and hostel , just you need to get any position in national compitition from the college. Many students handle social media accounts of colleges and clubs and many events are always going on in the campus which provides thousands of opportunities to the students
So, there are enough faculties for the students and the ratio is quite good overall but the faculty are not that qualified with the teaching skills as many of the teachers can't connect to the students and make a large distance between them. Faculties are approachable easily as every student are provided with there cabin no. There are a lot of exams every week, like students are boared of exams now, every week there are 2-3 exams/tests and sometimes everyday 2-3 tests which make students very stressed and they don't get enough time to work on self development or relax for some hours.
During 5th and 6th semester, students with really good are able to secure internships and in the 7th semester, they are placed at good companies as well. The average package of the university is okay, around 5-6 lakhs per annum but due to too high competition, not much students are able to get good placements but there are many big tech giants such as Google which hire from lpu.
I'd rate the course curriculum 4.5/5 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. Relevant aspects: - Industry-aligned curriculum - Project-based learning - Internships and industry exposure Preparation for real-world applications: - Curriculum focuses on practical skills - Encourages innovation and research Suggestions for improvement: - More emphasis on emerging technologies - Increased industry collaboration - Flexible curriculum to accommodate individual interests Exams: - Frequency: 2-3 per semester - Timing: Well-spaced, allowing adequate preparation - Difficulty: Moderate, with some challenging questions Teaching methods: - Engaging lectures - Interactive sessions - Room for improvement in incorporating more hands-on activities and guest lectures.

While I don't have personal experiences, I can offer a general view on how placements and employability often work for college students: 1. **Campus Placements**: - **On-Campus Recruitment**: Many colleges have a dedicated placement cell that organizes recruitment drives where companies visit the campus to hire students for various roles. - **Industry Connections**: Colleges with strong ties to industries often have better placement rates. They might invite companies for job fairs, internships, and on-campus interviews. - **Placement Statistics**: Colleges typically publish placement statistics, including average salary offers, companies that recruit from the campus, and placement percentages. 2. **Employability Without Campus Placement**: - **Internships and Networking**: Gaining practical experience through internships and building a professional network can significantly enhance employability. - **Skill Development**: Acquiring relevant skills and certifications rel
