I applied to Behala College, Kolkata but I also got a confirmed admission there but I chose this college mainly because of higher reputation. Our college's admission process is very simple, to be honest, there is a form you have to fill up and meet the eligibility criteria and you are good to go to get your name on the merit list.
B.Com is a very industry-ready course and very relevant in today's time and work. The real-world application is taught well here and students get some insights about the practical usage of the course. Teachers may use some friendly behavior and some fun examples for the weak students to get involved and interested in the class.
The teachers inform us about some internship opportunities and guide us to get involved in some. The projects our teachers give help us so much to understand real-world scenarios. Summer internship is a great concept in our college where teachers pick students and sends them for internships in various companies for their development of knowledge in real world.
The fees in our college is very very affordable actually for all the courses. For B.COM we have to pay 6,600 rupees yearly so for 3 year bachelor degree the fees is around 20,000 rupees and for the 4 year honours course the fees is around 27,000 rupees. There are separate lab fees which is around 100 rupees per semester (6 months) and some cultural event charges which are around 200 rupees yearly. The most expensive course in our college is B.SC which is around 10,000 rupees yearly for a 3-year general course and a 4-year honours course. There are several scholarship schemes like the one I got is SVCM where students get 12,000 rupees yearly for scoring a minimum of 60% in a year.
The campus life is very well. The overall greenery is beautiful. The library is full of useful books and you can go and spend your time there very well. Some of the classrooms have projectors set up and most parts of the campus is CCTV captured. Sports is one of the reasons our college is known for. Football competitions and rock climbing competitions are the most known sports in our college. There are few social groups like freedom of speech, women safety, etc.
The faculty-to-student ratio are fine in my opinion but for some, it may appear less faculty in comparison to students but it is fine. Teachers like D.K. Sir and A.B. Sir are the best for me. They are more approachable and friendly with students. There are two main exams in a year and two small internal exams. Difficulty level is moderate I would say.
The commerce department of the college give you every detailed knowledge about the course. Currently our college is associated with summer internship programs so that after completion of the course your cv have boosted to max level.

For undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the curriculum often includes a blend of core subjects, electives, and practical components, aimed at providing a well-rounded education. However, the effectiveness and comprehensiveness can vary depending on the specific program and department.
