- The college faculty were good , and they are very helpful
- The infrastructure and placement of the college were good
- The labs of the college were fully equipped.
Dislikes
- The timing of the class were like the timings of primary school from morning 9 to evening 4:20
- The rules and regulations were very strict.
- The college is outside the city , and transportation is difficult
Remarks :
I applied for RVCE, MSRIT , but I preferred this college because NMIT is growing fast as compared to other colleges. Nmit admit the students through KCET,comedk, management . It has different cutoff of ranks based on their category and reservation. Overall admission process is good
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course was Artificial intelligence and data science. I choosed this course because I am interested in artificial intelligence. And the AI&DS department of college was good , with a senior HOD. The labs were fully equipped. The syllabus for AI&DS is prepared by TCS.
Internships Opportunities :
Oracle, Infosys ,TCS , Dell, IBM etc companies offers internship for students with stipend around 8k-15k. Projects are :- To do list application , E commerce platform , Bug tracking system , chat application
Placement Experience :
From 6th sem students placement will start. Many companies like Amazon, phone pe, rapido, Accenture, Infosys, IBM, Mahindra, L&T, ultratech, Wipro, Toyota, subex, sisco, congnizant, etc Highest package provided is 45lpa, average is 8lpa. Around 85% placed every year. My plan is to do higher studies. Around 900 students placed every year
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fees is 130000 per year for the students who got admission under KCET, for comedk it is around 250000 only for hostel , from this year onwards they hiked management fees by 250000. Last year management seat fees was 500000 , but from this year it is around 750000. And they will charge the college bus fees according to kilometres. I need 520000 as tution fees . The college will provide the state and central scholarship. They will also provide many scholarship for schedule caste and scheduled tribe students
Campus Life :
Nmit hacks will conduct hackathon which will held around June . And annual fest of college is anadyanta which is held around May or June. The library consists many books regarding all subjects and technology. The classroom has well equipped desk and benches , projectors and wifi facility. Nmit also support sports and extracurricular activities. Nmit participate in many sport competition. Nmit support students. There are many clubs in college which has positive impact on student life
Faculty :
The faculty are very good , there are around 150 faculty. And all the faculties were educated. They help the students in each step. And I interact with them daily. And they are happy to clear the doubts.

Placements are quite good , but not many opt for placements . As this is mainly a research institute so many go to pursue higher studies abroad and large researchand development centers I have a plan to pursue masters in this fielsd and continue my research work in this field.

In our department also our HOD will always conduct many programs and webinars about placements, training, etc. to improve our communication skills either offline or online. I chose this course because now AI is being integrated into every field. So we can use AI and make our work easier. Our department also gives opportunities for extracurricular activities and sports. For that also we will get activity points. In our branch, by the third semester, only placement opportunities will come, and also in the first semester only we can do an internship. For that also our faculties will provide us with information.
