The admission was done by common university entrance test which was conducted by national testing agency. It was an average to medium level of exam. The cut for the curse was quite high for unreserved candidates but there was relaxation for reserved classes.
The course is versatile and promotes everyday knowledge in the field of commerce. It focuses on Practical and analytical approach and concept building among students which makes them corporate ready. The effect of new education policy can be seen on the curriculum in a better way.
My college yearly fees is rs.25000 including the exam fee. But it has increased 25% this year in all the courses of all the colleges in the university. Also there are some scholarship benefits for people who come from ST,SC and OBC background. Also the university provides for single parent fee reduction scheme and many more such scholarships which are mentioned in the university's official website.
There are many fest conducted throughout the year. Many clubs and societies are available for various departments. NSS is active but placement cell is not so much active. Various inter College fest and competitions are also organised by the college.
The college faculty of each and every department is well experienced in their own field. Regular classes are being conducted on the schedule time, but sometimes it becomes chaotic during any function and confusion arrises whether classes will be conducted or not. Sometimes classes are cancelled on the last moments which often leads to frustration among the students.
I have opted for commerce in 11th and 12th class so that i have chosed this course. The curriculum do not prepares for real world applications, this is the task you have to do by yourself for further academic pursuits.
The course curriculum is updated as the NEW EDUCATION POLICY (NEP), which now is followed in the university of Delhi. The NEP is something new and provides various other subjects which can help to guide the career of the students
I wanted work in share market field that's why I choose bcom course it helps me to understand about stocks/shares, business, economy etc. It also opens a wide range of future job opportunities so it was best course to choose for me.
I am the second year third sem student persuing bcom Hons so i have not learned practical knowledge by now but according to the syllabus it will come earlier but the knowledge i have gained by now makes me perfect in the theoretical part
