Admission process was quite easy. All details can be found in the website. Registration was done in the Samarth portal . The examination for admission was through CUET- PG. Admission process can be a bit more easier.
The course structure is extremely relevant to every competitive exam . Care has been given to give equal importance to both theory and practical exams . Syllabus can be followed more effectively. Examination are conducted frequently and presentations are also provided.
Currently the year wise fees is 11,250 for even semester of PG students. For hostel the fees is 18,474 for even semester. SC/ST students are exempt from hostel fees. Scholarships are not provided by the college for meritorious students.
Campus Life is moderate. Sometimes festivals by various departments are organised. Regular dance competition and various extra curricular activities also occur here . Various clubs are present for different hobbies and interests.
Hostel facility is quite nice . Every student is provided a hostel. However distance between each hostel is quite far and not walkable. Hostel is not affordable for everyone. Here expenditure is on the higher side.
The faculty to student ratio is around 1;5 . They are quite well educated. However some teachers are not punctual and course may not be completed all the time . Faculties are quite approachable and friendly and provide good advice
Placement Opportunities have begun at the Institution, we have career counseling sessions and institution is getting in touch with some organisations and companies, in the end of the semester students may consult the faculties inorder to apply for different companies. Students of MIV have very good scope of getting placed students have obtained placements at ICMR, IISc, FNDR, NIMHANS, NISHAD, Medical Colleges, etc. My plan is to pursue PhD from a reputed Institution.

I wanted to choose this course because I always wanted to be a psychologist. The teachers are good in this campus but the course is not that great as we are not getting much exposure. We don't even have a lab in our college.
When I decided to choose this subject it had higher opportunities and good no of placement, with a handsome annual package. But now it has become saturated. Curriculum will help in civil engineering, mining, surveying and many more aspects. More knowledge should be given in teaching students about remote sensing and GIS. Frequency of exams is a semester in 4-5 month time. Difficulty level is higher compared to level of teaching.
I will say that the course curriculum is good but in the 2nd year also there should be field work as we are geology students we need practical work but it's not there. Internship duration should be 2 months.
I like the Geology subject and central university of Karnataka is considered good for Geology subject. They took field in terms of field work. It is 9/10 in terms of practical.some teachers are good in teaching in geology subject. They need to improve the placement of geology subject.
Here curriculum is not that much bad. But there are 2 internal exams and whole day class, and sometimes teachers are not taking classes and our time is being wasted in class room. Exams are not that much difficult.
As it is a university and i am a life science student it is a little bit difficult to have placement within campus But there is a lot of opportunity outside if we try on by our selves The salary can begin with a good start of 30000 per month to 50000 initially and later can be improved depending on which sector ur working on
