This course is very helpful in developing skills like communication, Empathy, critical thinking etc. and this course gave equal importance to academics and fieldwork practice. It gives a good exposure in dealing with people and the three specialization, which are HRM, SD, MPSW, gave vast job opportunities.
Internship opportunity is available in the university. It is provided by the faculties. The organization or industries for internship is suggested by the faculties. JSW cement, Himalaya etc are some of the places were internship provided.
Campus placement is offered by the university. From 4th sem the students are eligible for campus placement. Several companies visited university for campus placement which includes BHEL , Azim Premji etc.

The overall campus experience is good. The infrastructure is very good but lack in maintenance. The hostel facilities are good but toilet in hostel is not in good condition. Sports has good support from the PT sir but university does not provide enough support or equipments needed. Every year sports fest named ANKUR will be conducted. The climate is good from june to january but after that it will be extreme hot.
University have enough hostel to accommodate every students of the university. Thats a good thing compared to other universities. The quality of mess food is very bad and also menu is different for boys and girls.
There are 8 teaching faculties in which 2 are professors, 1 is associate professor, and 4 are assistant professors. They are very much supportive in studies. We can approach them any time if needed. Also there are 3 PhD scholars who providing NET, JRF free coaching to students.
The central university of Karnataka, they have a particular curriculum for every department. They conduct two sections of internal fir evaluating the perception capacity of the student. They publish an academic calendar in which they provide all the leave and internship details.
The course that I have chosen is MSW. The department is providing field work and internship opportunities which is a platform to apply the knowledges in real world. In a semester they are conducting 2 internal assessments which will help to assess and improve ourselves.
Their teaching style is so different. This method is helped to the students for improvement. The teachers all are interacting with all students and they asking to the students opinion for class time.
The subject that I chosen is social work. The department is providing opportunity for internship and field works which is helping to connect with society and to apply the learning and theoretical knowledges in real world.
the course provides a various opportunities in developing our skills and knowledge. there is experiential learning like fieldwork, camp, lifeskill training and soon. the methods of teaching varies from each faculties. every one have different mode of teaching. some give importance for the group discussions and they also helps in improving our presentation skills.
Curriculum is stick on to the outdated syllabus. Practical experience is missing. Theoretical knowledge is getting but practice is missing there. In this competitive world, we can't survive with this basic knowledge. Technological advancements are lacking and we are poor in managing it.
The entire curriculam was not at all satisfactory. It is not a updated curriculam an social work students didnt get any cuncurrent fieldwork and only classroom learning is provided in this university for the students.
firstly, I took this course by not looking through the curriculam. but the curriculam is perfect. it provide many experiential learnings for social work students. i'm statisfied with this curriculam because social work students need more field work rather than theory classes.
i have chooosen this cource and college for being outside my native place and learn klanguages for sake of my future and in interest with rural camps. but our camp and everthing was so poor. exposure was only given in academics, not in any other ways. field visiits are not here, in second semester we went for fieldwork in our vaccation time that too in our native due to language barrier, but we could have sorted out this if they are taking us for field visit.
