- The overall coding culture at our college is superior compared to other colleges in Nagpur
- Despite being a private college,it attracts more companies during placemnet,and its reputation is excellent.
- The faculty is well -qulified and helpfull,supporting students not only with placements but also with higher studies such as GATE,CAT etc.
Dislikes
- The campus is small and fells too congested.
- Some sports facilities,such as those for cricket and indoor games ,are neglected and left behind.
- Now that it has become a university,the intake is significantly higher,leading to a tremendous number of students within the same small campus.
Remarks :
The admission process was smooth and fair,as it was part of CAP Round.Everthing incliding the application form and fees, was handeled online through the college site [www.rknec.edu] while the admission process itself was goodd ,it took more time than expected,which caused delays in the course curriculum.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As my batch is first to experience NEP-2020,the ciriculam has changed and made subjecct like FLIC(Foundation Literature of Indian Civilization) more intersting,teaching us all about ancient Indian education systems.As an autonomous institute,RCOEM desing its own curriculum and exam papers,making it easier to understand and align with foreign standards.
Internships Opportunities :
There are numerous intership opportunities available from both government and private sectors.Internships typically offer positions such as Junior Software Developer with stipends ranging from 20-50K perr month.The highest stipend is 2 lakh per month by Alphanso Labs
Placement Experience :
The college placement are execellent ,with students from the 6th semester are allowed to sit for placement.Mass recruiters like TCS,Accenture,IBM offer packages ranging 5-8 Lpa.Companies such as Amazon,Nutranix and LG provide -substantial package of 22 LPA,17-22 LPA,and 37 LPA respectively,with number of offer ranging between 25-30 per year.The highest package do far has been 48 LPA from Fivetran.The 2020 batch achived an impressive placemeent percentage of 90% iin CSE and allied branches,compared to 68-70% in core branches.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At RCOEM,the tuition fees for my batch were 175000,but they have now increased to 250000.The total cost of education is around8 8- 10 lakhs.Some Scholarships are available from the Maharastra Government,such as EBC(for genreal category students) and specific scholarships for reserved categories.The campus placments are good,with an avg.of 6-7 lakhs and intership offering stipends ranging from 25000 to 50000/ per months ,depending on the comapany.
Campus Life :
The campus life is enjoyable as it have many fest like Pratishruti-annual fest which is held in february .we also have a sports event like Udgosh,Aagaz and bransh cup within branches.RCOEM have many club like Technical , Codebreaker, REEF, Robotics, Music, Drama, Spiritual and Sport -Committiee.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel are well-located within the campus and offer amenties such as Wi-Fi,mess and access to a Doctor.The mess food is comparatively good and affordable compared to option outside campus.Hostel registration are done at Boy's Hostel Office.the fees are 110000 for a double-shariing room and 120000 for a single room
Faculty :
According to NIRF 2024 data,the faculty-to-student ratio is 1:100 .However,with batch sizes of 60-65 ,each stuident recieves adequate attention.While some teachers are arrongant,others are very helpful and excellent at thier work.Teacher-student interaction is beyond the classroom,and we use Google Classroom to resolve any doubts or queries.

The students become eligible for placement from the third year. Many well known companies visit . Also because to the limited strength of each batch most of the students are placed before they pass out from the college.

Placement Experience :
There are placements in college in particular department. But for cs, it, and etc having equal placements so that their is quite difficult for got select in PI round. There is alot of competition for placements.
If you don't have good marks , this is the college for you .
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is different from the one followed by SPPU , some subjects you'll find useless . Rest is similar to what other colleges have . There'll be a sports slot for only the first years though . Later you have more core subjects.

to be honest campus placement is very low in this college as it is tier 3 colleges very few companies visit to this campus.for eg capgemini infosys tata ibm wipro etc highest salary offered in collge is 12lpa in 2022.i am not totally on campus placement

The overall ratioof placemnet can be considerd good.Most of the big placements 20+ are offcampus.Companies do visit but just a good cgpa wont gaurantee a job, the resume needs to be strong. There is cutoff applied for students on basis of cgpa.
