Admission process is good but the cut-off was increased in our times it increases approximately about 2-3 percentile and that is not expected from us but fees are also high because students have to pay huge fees
We have the new education policy in which we are learning some new and exciting subjects which is good for us and overall subject are new for us in second year that's why we have no idea about the curriculum.
Previous year placement ratio is quite good but this year students facing the problems as not expected students got placement the reason is not known but few saying because of the recession the reason behind that
Yes we have mahadbt scholarship which is provided by the government but the amount is so less approximately 14-15 thousand and that is not enough for us as we have the pay the fees 42091 and also hostel fees
Campus Life is so good as infront of the hostel area we have a huge sports ground and good quality of facilities that I like the most beautiful environment around the ground is so beautiful and amazing.
Some teachers explains the concept properly but some are not as they think that we have already know about the concept and that is not going in proper way that why some teachers are nice but some have misunderstanding.
The placements here at IIT Bombay are very very good. If a student has really done good or just put some efforts on skill development, he definitely gets placed and in a very good amount. A large number of companies visit for placements like Tata, L&T, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Uber, SONY, Samsung, Mahindra, Reliance, Qualcomm, Bajaj, Jaguar, Loreal, JSW, Hitachi, Mercedes, Havells,P&G, ITC, HUL, ONGC, HP, BYJUS, etc. This year around 1753 offers were made, out of which 1438 were accepted by the students in phase-1. All the information is available on IITB website. The highest package was around INR 4.23 CPA (in quant sector) and an average package of around INR 21.26 LPA. Around 82.1% of students were placed this year. Some students didn't sit for placements because they want to study further in foreign universities, or doing MBA further, or UPSC, etc.
I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and comprehensive, with a few areas for improvement. The curriculum was well-structured and relevant to the field of study, providing a solid foundation in principles and concepts. It was regularly updated to reflect industry trends and advancements, ensuring students were equipped with the latest knowledge and skills. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. I was particularly drawn to the industry relevance, interdisciplinary approach, and research opportunities. The courses emphasized practical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, preparing me well for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. However, I believe the curriculum could be improved by placing more emphasis on soft skills, such as communication and teamwork.
