What is the comparison between IIFT & IIM Shillong?

IIM Ahmedabad may have a different brand perception than IIM Lucknow, which may differ from IIM Kozhikode, and so on. With plans to establish an IIM in every state, getting admitted to one may not necessarily hold as much weight as it once did.
Older business schools may have more opportunities available to their students due to their more extensive alumni networks and long history of the establishment. Additionally, business schools located in metropolitan areas may have better access to recruiters, leading to potentially better job placements for their students.
Ultimately, it is up to you to consider these factors and make the final decision that best suits your needs and goals.
Brand value can only take you so far. In the long haul, you will be what you make of yourself. Both these institutes are reputed management institutes in India and will offer ample opportunities to learn and grow.
You will not get a job just because you are from IIM ABC, you will need to have the required skill set for that. The only advantage you will probably have over others if you are from IIM ABC, XL, or FMS is the initial better CTC and profiles that are offered to 30-40% of the batch. The bottom line is that if you put in the effort required for the next two years, you will have good opportunities from any of these two institutes. Also, there are many people who are doing great in their careers even without a management degree so it all depends on the effort.
