According to the NIRF 2019, IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked at 26, which is a good rank considering it’s a new IIT. The Mechanical Engineering department is quite good at IIT Bhubaneswar. According to the 2019 placement record, 83% students got job offers from Mechanical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. NIT Surathkal is a well-reputed name in Indian Engineering institutions. According to NIRF Ranking, it ranks at 22 nationally among engineering institutes in India. ECE in this NIT is even better as compared to a few IITs. The placement records of 2018-19 show that 97% of placement offers were received by students in this department. The average placement offer was 12-13 LPA.

Both IIT Bhubaneswar for Mechanical and NIT Surathkal for ECE are good choices with their own advantages. So, choose wisely according to your convenience.
