Chitkara University is a government-recognized university and is the only Indian university to be among the top eight finalists for the prestigious Times Higher Education Asia Awards 2020 Technical Innovation of the Year category.

Chitkara University has 13,000 students, 300 faculties, and 12 schools established across Engineering, Nursing, Management, Healthcare, Media, Arts, and Design.

Ranking:

  • E-Learning Excellence for Academic Digitisation (E-LEAD) qualification from QS IGUAGE was awarded to Chitkara University.

  • Chitkara University has been ranked 18th for Mass Communication by The Week 2020 and ranked 17th for Hotel Management by India Today 2020.

Admission Process:

  • Admission to B.E/ B.Tech program at Chitkara University is done on the basis of the JEE Mains score.

  • While admission M.Tech programs are based on scores obtained in GATE or entrance test conducted by the university followed by Personal Interview.

  • For admission to doctoral programs, B.Tech or M.Tech students must secure a minimum of 8.0CGPA and must qualify a Ph.D. entrance test conducted by the university.

Eligibility:

  • For admission to B.E programs, students must secure a minimum of 75% in 10+2 and must clear the JEE mains entrance test.

  • For B.E Lateral Entry, students with diplomas must secure a minimum of 60% and must have qualified JEE mains entrance tests.

  • For M.E programs, B.Tech/B.E students will have to obtain a minimum of 55%.

  • Admission to B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is done on the basis of merit in the 10+2 science stream.

As you can see by going through the information provided above, for most degree courses, Chitkara University accepts students with more than 60% aggregate marks in 10+2.
